Vegetation Indexes
One of the characteristic features of vegetation and its condition is the spectral reflectance that is characterized by large differences in the reflection of light of different wavelengths. Knowledge about the connection between the structure and the state of vegetation with its reflective abilities allow using satellite imagery to identify vegetation types and their condition. Currently there are approximately 160 variants of vegetation indexes. The most popular of them is given in the table.
